Know your Agile
Over the course of the last two years there has been a massive swing towards adopting Agile methodologies for software development and project management in many businesses. So much so, that now it is the preferred method for most Kyna Clients, and it is almost a prerequisite skill set for new recruits in software or project management to have. The benefits of following Agile principals for companies where business drives development has been accepted by many to outweigh any benefits of following legacy Waterfall and Prince II methodologies.
To ensure candidates keep their skill set in line with this demand we recommend they embrace the use of Agile and become knowledgeable in the subject through self-study, whether it be with Scrum, Lean or Kanban. Many businesses use of Agile and forms of hybrid-agile vary enormously, so whilst you feel you are knowledgeable in the subject with your current employer, you may be totally out of depth in an interview with a future employer who are a real pro-Agile company.
